Dental Care

Dental care is one of the best ways to ensure that your pet’s oral hygiene stays immaculate, as well as ensures that those kisses you receive are much more pleasant. Our highly-skilled vets will also go above and beyond to ensure that your pet is safe and comfortable.

Why Dentals?

Human Medicine has taught us that oral hygiene is incredibly important for overall wellbeing. It’s very important part of ensuring the good health of your cat or dog. If your pet could brush their own teeth, it would prevent the need for frequent cleanings, but unfortunately, they can’t. Whilst, we do recommend pet parents provide dental care at home, we also know how difficult it can be to maintain. The use of dental treats and water additives are helpful, but they do not keep the plaque and tartar away or maintain healthy gums.

In order to prevent dental disease, we recommend dental cleanings under anesthetic every 2-3 years. During a dental session, we will remove tartar from the teeth and under the gum lines, which will prevent bone loss and infection.  We want to ensure that your pet keeps their teeth forever and regular dentals will help with that. It also helps to prevent other health issues, such as heart disease and kidney infections.
