Equine services offered by Mercury Street Veterinary Hospital
Vaccinations
A regular vaccination protocol for your horse, pony and donkey is of utmost importance to prevent them from contracting serious or life-threatening diseases. We are able to assist with Tetanus, African horse sickness, flu vaccines and many more. Please note that all competitive horses needs to be up to date with vaccinations in order to compete.
Pre-purchase Vetting
This includes a general consultation evaluating the condition and health of the horse. After the consultation a lameness evaluation will be done by the attending veterinarian and if needed local nerve blocks can be done. Unfortunately, we do not offer diagnostic imaging as a part of the pre-purchase vetting.
Surgical Consultations
Our Veterinarians are able to assist in case of surgical care, such as wound suturing. We do not offer colic operations.
Sedation
We are able to assist with sedation that may be needed to perform certain routine procedures such as dentistry and farriery .
Equine After Hours Emergencies
We offer emergency after hours assistance to all our equine clients.

Ambulatory Work
We offer an ambulatory service for our equine patients. We are able to vaccinate, do a general health check, pre-purchase vetting and Health certificates .
Medical Consultations
Medical consultations include any medical attention that your horse/pony/donkey may need, including medical colic treatment.
Castrations
We are able to assist with castrating your horse, donkey or pony. In order to be castrated both testicles must be descended and tetanus
Vaccinations must be up to date.
Deworming
We stock a wide range of deworming products and will be able to assist you with the correct deworming.
